Welcome Message

It will be a great pleasure and privilege to welcome you to the 1st joint French-Portuguese NMR conference that will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, in April 19-23, 2016.

The Portuguese NMR group is looking forward to welcome the French colleagues by co-organizing this joint conference that will also be the XXVII GERM conference and the 3rd Portuguese RNRMN meeting. This special arrangement will offer to the French/Portuguese NMR spectroscopists a great opportunity to present their results, to discuss scientific topics and to expand the collaboration between NMR groups in France and Portugal.

Lisbon is a multicultural city, spread across seven hillsides that overlook the river Tagus and the Atlantic sea. The city has several Gothic cathedrals, majestic monasteries and several museums, composing a colourful cityscape, but a visit is not complete without wandering the narrow lanes of Lisbon’s lovely backstreets.

We are looking forward to meeting you at 1st joint RNRMN / GERM NMR conference and hope this will be a fruitful and pleasant scientific event.

    Travel

Lisbon is the capital of Portugal and lies on the north bank of the Tagus Estuary, on the European Atlantic coast. Lisbon is Europe's second-oldest capital (after Athens).

Lisbon is an illuminated city. The almost constant presence of sunshine and the River Tagus transforms the Portuguese capital into a mirror of a thousand colors - highlighting the city’s unique architecture and beauty.
As you walk through Lisbon - whose history spans back thousands of years - you will find streets filled with heritage monuments, and characteristic neighborhoods where the city first developed and can still be experienced at its most genuine level.
Additional regional highlights, including the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sintra, and the Estoril/Cascais coastline including the dramatic cliffs of Cape Roca, the Westernmost point on the European continent.

Visit the website of The Turismo de Lisboa for a detailed list of happenings around town.
